Welcome
Pastor Seti Latu and Pastor Fili Lolohea
With God's grace and guidance, we planted a second generation Australian South Pacific Islander congregation called Connect Church at Canterbury. So far we have a congregation where eight different ethnicities, cultures and languages are represented including Tongan, Samoan, Fijian, Maori, Italian, Croation, Australian Anglo-Saxon, Chilean and Chinese. These people travel from as close as Inner West and as far as Western Sydney.
At the moment we are based at Canterbury Anglican Church, but we can see the need to develop this ministry elsewhere in Sydney.

Many Pacific Islanders who have migrated to Australia in the last thirty to forty years have come from South Pacific Island nations which were evangelised by evangelical Christian missionary organisations during the early 19th Century. Since then, liberal theology has swept through many of these nations due to poor theological training at both the leadership and lay level. Today, many of those islander churches established in western countries and cities like Australia and Sydney are ethnic-centered rather than Christ-centered in teaching, fellowship and ministry.
It is crucial that an evangelical church is established in Sydney where people from an Australia South Pacific Islander or ethnic background can come, hear and grow in the gospel of Jesus.
